RPOs integral to half of multi-service HR outsourcing contracts

Recruitment process outsourcing (RPO) was integral to 50% of multi-service HR outsourcing contracts in 2014, according to business process outsourcing provider arvato’s UK outsourcing index.

Recruitment process outsourcing (RPO) was integral to 50% of multi-service HR outsourcing contracts in 2014, according to business process outsourcing provider arvato’s UK outsourcing index.
This is compared with none in 2013, when such services were always procured separately.
HR services, including recruitment, benefits administration and payroll outsourcing, accounted for a fifth of outsourcing deals agreed in the UK in 2014, with the index identifying £126m of HR outsourcing contracts in 2014.
The most active purchasers of these services were companies providing business services – including professional, property and people services accounting for 32% of deals, followed by manufacturers (16%) and energy & utilities companies (13%).
Recruiter’s latest FAST 50 list in the January issue of the magazine also provided evidence of the rise of the RPO, with these firms taking marketshare from IT recruiters.
