South African Airways (SAA) has warned of a recruitment scam inviting interested parties to apply for enrolment to be trained as cabin crew staff with the airline.

South African Airways (SAA) has warned of a recruitment scam inviting interested parties to apply for enrolment to be trained as cabin crew staff with the airline.

The South African government’s news service announced this morning the alleged scammers made use of social media and “other channels” the airline was looking for 500 candidates.

Quoting an SAA spokesperson, the news service said the airline was not recruiting; it has put a freeze on employment as it goes through a headcount rationalisation to make the company more financially sustainable.
