Supermarket chain Morrisons has appointed Clare Grainger as group HR director.

Grainger has nearly 25 years’ experience in HR and management, mostly in the retail sector with Morrisons and before that Asda. 

In March, Grainger was appointed interim group retail director following a sideways move a month previously to HR director retail and convenience from HR director central.

She will take up her new role in early September.

Gary Mills, who previously worked for Stewarts Supermarkets, replaces Grainger as retail director.
