Vehicle manufacturer Ford has announced the creation of 2,000 new jobs with a US$1.3bn (£870m) investment in its Kentucky truck plant ahead of the launch of its 2017 F-series super duty truck.

According to a company statement, the 6 million sq ft plant employs almost 4,400 people.
