The Australian Securities Exchange has granted a trading halt to Australian recruitment and training group Ashley Services Group.

Ashley Services Group said it requested the halt pending an announcement concerning its 31 December 2015 results, including results of an impairment review and an update on its earnings for the year ending 30 June 2016.

The statement added the halt will remain in place until the opening of trade on Wednesday [24 February], or earlier if an announcement is made to the market.

In October, Ashley Services Group instigated a strategic review due to ongoing difficult trading conditions and in December restructured its training division to account for reduced government funding for the training of unemployed workers.
