A job ad placed by the owner of a rubber factory in China for the dual role of manager and wife for the factory owner’s son has received several applications.

News site Mashable UK reports factory owner Chen Jinrong from Zhejiang, whose son Chen Diyang helps out at the rubber factory, placed the advert on a bulletin board at a Taizhou job fair.

The ad, placed on 8 March, read: "Female boss needed for rubber factory. Must be 38 years of age or under. Junior high school graduate or above. Can be divorced or have children. Hard-working, possess computer and management skills."

According to local Chinese media reports, Chen Jinrong wanted a daughter-in-law that “complemented his son whom he described as a capable manager but lacking in education, and computer and social skills”.

He also blamed his son for failing to take the initiative in securing himself a life partner, forcing Chen Jinrong to resort to such measures.

However, it seems his son doesn’t appreciate all his father’s efforts. "I know my father is doing this for my own good, but marriage is more about finding the person I like," he told Chinese reporters.
