New research by Eurociett, the European Confederation of Private Employment Services, continues to show sales revenue growth for European recruitment agencies across all but one of the countries in which data was collected.

According to the June 2016 Agency Business Indicator, year-on-year turnover agency revenue once gain rose in seven of the eight markets covered, with the exception of Norway, again witnessing a fall in year-on-year turnover agency revenue – this time by 5.1% from 5% in May. Revenues were greatest in Finland and Netherlands, with turnover up by 14% and 11%, respectively.

Based on data from Eurociett members in 10 countries, but excluding the UK, for which no such data is available, the number of hours worked by agency workers rose by an average of 2.5% year-on-year.

Three countries – Norway (-6.2%), Italy (-4.8%) and Switzerland (-8.9%) – were below the average, while Poland saw the growth in hours worked by agency workers increase by 15.9%, more than any of the countries where data was collected.
