Recruitment giant Kelly Services said revenue fell 0.7% amid reduced growth in its Americas operations, in a results statement for the second quarter of 2016.

Recruitment giant Kelly Services said revenue fell 0.7% amid reduced growth in its Americas operations, in a results statement for the second quarter of 2016.

The results, published late yesterday, reveal Q2 revenue of $1.4bn (£1.07bn), a 0.7% decrease, but 0.6% up on a constant currency basis, compared to the corresponding quarter of 2015.

Gross profit was up 3.7%, up 4.8% in constant currency, with earnings per share of $0.23 up 28% from $0.18 in Q2 2015.

Earnings from operations for Q2 2016 were $9.9m, compared to $11.5m reported for the second quarter of 2015.

Carl T. Camden, president and chief executive said: "Kelly responded quickly to flat top-line growth in the Americas by managing gross profit, adjusting our operating costs, and delivering solid leverage. 

“We remain committed to increasing shareholder value by efficiently delivering the best workforce solutions for our customers around the world.”
