Logistics firm Wincanton has appointed Jane Davies as group HR director.

Davies joins Wincanton from housebuilding and construction group Galliford Try, where she was also the group HR director. Previously, Davies was global HR director for engineering consultancy Germanischer Lloyd Industrial Services, and before that was the HR director of Spirit Group, the managed division of Punch Taverns.

She will report directly to chief executive Adrian Colman.
