Star Recruit: Honey G

Ben Whitfield, director at Fresh Partnership, advises aspiring rapper Honey G

As Honey G’s tortuous run on the X Factor finally comes to its inevitable end, it’s time to weigh up her options for re-entering the job market.

Ms G’s divisive performances on the show suggest, despite a degree in “popular music and recording”, that her future may not lie in pop super stardom.

A return to the industry for the former IT recruiter, where talent is in short supply and where an outgoing personality and sense of honour is encouraged, could well be on the cards.

I would, however, have to recommend she tones downs her dress code; ‘Ali G in drag’ is not always the best first impression at interview.

Perhaps a new career in tennis coaching beckons.

Novak Djokovic’s relationship with Boris Becker must surely be under strain after a poor run at the end of the year.

After all, she was a former tennis champion – and already owns a glittering array of tracksuits – so it wouldn’t require a new wardrobe.

My main words of advice – don’t be a hater, keep it real.
