Edelman takes entry-level candidates on an online journey to find a job
Global marketing agency Edelman has replaced its traditional graduate scheme application process with what it calls a multi-platform “journey”.
The new entry-level application, called Edelman Beta, will see candidates attempt to solve clues across a variety of social channels, online marketplaces and music apps to get to the end of the process.
Edelman says the new approach is designed to test applicants’ understanding of the modern communications
Edelman uses Snapchat for its clues landscape through an online, multi-platform hunt. The first clue is hidden on the Edelman website now.
Unlike past graduate schemes, it is open to anyone over the age of 16.
Edelman says the firm is not just looking for new talent, but also people seeking a career change as it aims to bring “diverse talent” to the industry. To extend the reach of Beta beyond graduates, Edelman is also working with a number of education, apprentice, diversity and return to work organisations.
