Thorntons on recruitment drive ahead of Christmas

Thorntons is seeking 200 additional staff ahead of Christmas, who will also benefit from staff discounts on the chocolate maker’s treats in their staff shop.

The Derby Telegraph reports the chocolate maker is still looking for around 200 extra staff to join its ranks as it increases production at its Derbyshire factory ahead of Christmas.

According to the paper, half the roles have now been filled but Thorntons is still looking for temporary factory operatives, who would earn between £7.80 and £8.90 an hour depending on shift time.

Staff benefits include discounts on products sold at the firm’s on-site staff shop.
