One lucky applicant could swap the longer autumnal evenings for a job in the idyllic setting of the Maldives.

Glasgow Live reports the Four Seasons Resort Landaa Giraavaru is seeking an in-house language teacher for its staff.

The two-year post commands a monthly salary of just under £1k – but that's on top of shared accommodation, all meals and soft drinks paid for, and return airfare paid for once a year.

Not to mention an unspoilt wilderness, unrivalled views, palm trees stretching across the location… [Yes, enough now, I’m just about to put my second jumper on – Ed]
