StepStone launches Good&Co in UK

StepStone is launching candidate personality and company culture matching platform Good&Co in the UK.
Nick Gold (pictured), StepStone’s COO, told Recruiter that the app works by building an individual’s profile based on their responses to a number of questions, designed by psychologists. Gold said the answers reveal “what sort of personality you are, and how you fare in the workplace”.
He said the real value of the app comes from companies being able build their own profile. “The company can then go out and decide which candidates they want to hire based on their [the candidates’] Good&Co profile. The candidate can then decide ‘am I a good fit for that company?’,” Gold explained.
“We are launching it in the UK now, and we have taken it already to some of our clients, particularly clients of our brand Caterer.com,” said Gold. “Some of the big hotel and restaurant chains are very interested in this technology because they want to understand as they go through the interview process, whether the candidate is the right personality fit for them, and also the candidate can decide if they are the right personality fit for this [particular] culture.”
Gold said StepStone had already been promoting the app in the US and Europe. StepStone acquired Good&Co, the San Francisco-based technology firm that developed the platform, in 2016.
