Marx takes over from Searle at Airswift

Janette Marx is to take over the reins from Peter Searle as group chief executive at Airswift.
Marx takes up her new role as the group announced several senior management changes this morning. She is currently the global workforce solutions provider’s chief operating officer, and previously held senior management roles at recruitment giant Adecco.
The changes announced see Searle – a former Adecco UK & Ireland chief executive and group chief executive of Airswift since its formation following the merger of Air Energi Group and Swift Worldwide Resources in 2016 – becoming executive chairman. Current chairman and group founder Ian Langley moves to senior independent director.
Commenting on her new role, Marx expressed gratitude to both Searle and Langley for their mentoring over recent years, while Searle said he knew Marx would inspire the company’s people to achieve even more.
Langley, meanwhile, said he thought better defined roles for the group’s senior team would help concentrate their minds to deliver even more for clients and the business, adding he thought the business was exceptionally well placed to take advantage of improved market conditions
The senior managerial changes follow a period of expansion for the group, which has seen Airswift open new premises in Sabah, Mauritania, Senegal, Guyana and Mexico in the past year, with the firm now operating from more than 60 offices across the globe.
