Recruitment industry’s Burgess looks to leap into the limelight on X Factor

If recruitment’s new great hope on the X Factor applies the same work ethic to her singing career as she has done at her recruitment agency day job, then she’s destined for success.

That’s the view from Sophie Allen, office manager at Dudley-based agency Masstemps, whose colleague Georgia Burgess was shown wowing the judges on the TV singing competition last weekend.

Allen told Recruiter: “Georgia is well liked by colleagues, clients and candidates alike. She started with us when she was just 18, however her maturity belies her years.”

But it appears Burgess’ colleagues had no real inkling of her talent.

“We were aware that she performed locally, but Georgia was very modest and we never guessed that she was hiding such a talent. We were all blown away by her performance on Saturday night. In hindsight we should have insisted on a preview.

“We’re all very proud to support Georgia through her X Factor journey and we wish her all the best in what is looking like a well-deserved leap into the limelight.”
