Leave ‘positive action’ to clients or risk breaking discrimination laws

Recruiters have been urged to leave decisions around positive action in recruitment to clients or risk falling foul of discrimination rules.

The warning follows a case in which Cheshire Police’s recent award of a job to a man, who was initially not employed because he was white, heterosexual and male.
