Recruiters next in firing line for ICO data breach fines?

Andy Lord, co-founder of IT and technology recruiter Rethink Group, has warned that recruiters are an obvious target for the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) and that recruitment companies are at risk.

In the wake of the ICO fining BA £183.4m and hotel group Marriott almost £100m for breaches of data protection rules, Lord, who now runs Code Nation, a training academy for the IT/technology sector, told Recruiter: “It is fairly obvious to me that the recruitment industry will be a target.”
