Volkswagen shakes up HR leadership team

Automotive giant Volkswagen has overhauled its leadership team within its HR division, making a number of new appointments at several sites.

Andrea Morgan-Schönwetter (pictured) is taking on overall responsibility for recruiting and talent marketing. Before joining Volkswagen at the beginning of this year, Morgan-Schönwetter was responsible for HR marketing and employer branding at Telekom. She will report directly to Volkswagen AG’s board member for human resources, Gunnar Kilian. 

Nicole Kösling, previously senior vice president HR and organisation Volkswagen Group of America, Chattanooga operations, becomes head of HR of the firm’s Wolfsburg factory.

Susanne Scholtyssek, previously head of HR technical departments Volkswagen Passenger Cars, has been appointed head of the central HR department top management and production at Porsche in Zuffenhausen, while Dr Dietmar Albrecht, previously head of Volkswagen Group Academy China, takes over Scholtyssek’s former function as head of HR technical departments Volkswagen Passenger Cars.

Jörg Maszutt, previously head of HR at the Wolfsburg plant, takes responsibility for HR work at all Volkswagen plants worldwide, reporting directly to Martin Rosik, general representative of Volkswagen and head of HR Volkswagen Passenger Cars brand.

Katrin Börsting, previously head of HR at the VW Salzgitter plant, has been appointed management board member for HR and organisation at Volkswagen Osnabrück, taking over this function from Burkhard Ulrich. A decision on Börsting‘s successor in Salzgitter will be taken shortly.

Ulrich becomes SVP HR and organisation Volkswagen Group of America (VWGoA), Chattanooga operations, succeeding Nicole Kösling.

Sebastian Krapoth, previously spokesperson for the management board at Volkswagen Group Services, becomes board member for HR at Volkswagen Slovakia. 

Thorsten Falk, previously board member for HR and organisation at Volkswagen Group Retail Deutschland, has been appointed to the management board of Volkswagen Group Services.

Stefan Baier, project manager HR Leadership at Audi, is appointed executive VP HR VWGoA and chief HR officer North American Region Volkswagen.
