WeLove9am acquires media buying business LogicMelon Media

Gloucestershire-based employer branding and marketing agency WeLove9am has bought out media buying business LogicMelon Media for an undisclosed sum.

According to a statement, it made business sense for WeLove9am to integrate the media company into its full-service agency operation. This was because WeLove9am had previously co-owned the ad-buying subsidiary with Cambridge-based Logic Enterprises, and with employees based for some time in Gloucestershire – and clients increasingly calling on media buying as part of their overall recruitment projects – the integration was a logical move.

As part of the deal, LogicMelon Media will soon be re-named, with WeLove9am coming together as one group. Two new directors have been appointed, with lead developer Seb Jordan and Dulcie Graves, social and SEO expert, joining WeLove9am founder and managing director Mark Bevans to focus on future plans for the business.

And with media buying expertise joining in-house web and graphic designers, videographers, copywriters and software developers, the company adds it is launching technical innovations, which include chatbot and bespoke programmatic ad buying software, in a bid to support clients’ recruitment campaigns from end-to-end.

For their part, LogicMelon said the move is just one element of extensive restructuring plans, centred around a heightened emphasis on product development. These include investment in programme expansion, growth of the firm’s client success team and a 17% rise in overall headcount.

Touching on these plans, Darren Brown, CEO of LogicMelon, said: “This is an exciting time for LogicMelon. Over the past 10 years we have developed advanced technologies to provide holistic end-to-end recruitment solutions for an ever growing number of clients and, as we enter our second decade in business, this level of innovation is set to accelerate.”

“The sale of LogicMelon Media Ltd. has allowed us to firmly step away from outdated manual processes which sit outside the level of customer experience that our partners expect and deserve. The move has also enabled us to further invest in enhancing our service offering, so that we can realise our vision of providing the very best bespoke solutions to support our clients’ recruitment and candidate experience needs both today and in the future.”
