Two-fifths of workers fear for jobs, especially in Cardiff

More than four in 10 UK workers fear for their job this year, according to research from job search engine Adzuna.
The research, released this week, reveals residents in the Welsh capital of Cardiff feel least secure in their job (60%), closely followed by Norwich (59%) and Sheffield (56%).
The top 10 cities with the highest percentage of employees worried their job is at risk in 2020 are:
- Cardiff (60%)
- Norwich (59%)
- Sheffield (56%)
- Manchester (54%)
- Liverpool (49%)
- Leeds (48%)
- Southampton and London (45%)
- Nottingham (44%)
- Edinburgh (43%)
- Newcastle (42%)
But the data also shows the cities where employees are most likely to make a career move this year:
- London (66%)
- Bristol (65%)
- Belfast (59%)
- Glasgow (57%)
- Edinburgh, Manchester, Birmingham (54%)
- Norwich (51%)
- = Leeds, Nottingham, Southampton (49%)
- Cardiff (47%)
- Newcastle (44%)
- Liverpool (42%)
