Security firm Verisure to create 1,000 jobs in North-East

A global security firm is creating 1,000 new jobs on North Tyneside.

Chronicle Live reports the jobs are being created by burglar alarm provider Verisure, which has chosen Quorum Business Park in Newcastle-upon-Tyne for a new £3m site.

The firm is advertising positions in its marketing and operations teams, creating roles in customer service, technical support, field operations, training, IT, telesales, HR and finance, and plans to have 100 people in place this year, but says that will grow to around 1,000.

Verisure has signed an 11-year lease at the 104,000 sq ft Neon Building, and will be offering some of the jobs available to existing staff at its site in Brentford, West London but most will be filled by people from the North-East.
