MCG Group acquires Poppy Nursing Services

The MCG Group has acquired Ipswich-based Poppy Nursing and Care Services.

Poppy Nursing Services is a supplier of nurses and carers to hospital trusts and care homes across Suffolk, Norfolk, Essex and the wider UK.

MCG Healthcare (previously the McGinley Group) is a collection of companies providing people-focused services in the aerospace & aviation, construction, education, healthcare and technology services.

The acquisition of Poppy Nursing Services supports the Group’s continued expansion and compliments its existing healthcare recruitment brand, MCG Healthcare, which specialises in placing primary and secondary care professionals including nurses, doctors and allied health professionals to public and private sector healthcare settings.

Poppy Nursing Services will retain its branding and well-established trading name, working along MCG Healthcare. “Over time, the MCG Group plans to merge the brand into MCG Healthcare, to give all our healthcare clients greater access to primary and secondary care professionals nationwide,” an MCG Group statement said.

This is the MCG Group’s fourth acquisition in the last two years.
