Whiterock Finance backs staffing specialist Artemis

Whiterock Finance has announced its first-ever equity investment by backing specialist recruiter Artemis Human Capital.
The Belfast-based investment team has taken a minority stake in Artemis for an undisclosed sum and will also work with the business in an advisory capacity, a Whiterock statement said.
Founded in 2014 by Sarah Orange, Artemis has a team of eight professionals working across executive, finance, legal and business services, and offering permanent, interim and temporary solutions. Also Belfast-based, it provides a range of services aimed at improving workplace effectiveness, talent and reward.
Whiterock runs the £30m Growth Finance Fund, which provides loans to SMEs across Northern Ireland in the range of £500k to £2m, with finance provided by the British Business Bank, Invest Northern Ireland and private investors, Northern Ireland Local Government Officers’ Superannuation Committee (NILGOSC). It also runs the £30m Growth Loan Fund II as part of Invest Northern Ireland’s Access to Finance portfolio, which is part-funded by ERDF under the EU Investment for Growth and Jobs Programme 2014-2020. The fund provides growth finance to SMEs from £100k to £500k.
