Guidant Global launches diversity consortium in US

Talent acquisition and managed workforce solutions provider Guidant Global has launched its new INfluence Workforce Consortium in the US, bringing together specialist US partners to help employers put diversity into action across contingent workforces.

According to a statement from Guidant Global, the US-focused initiative will “drive proactive strategic partnerships with experts in diversity, equality and inclusion (DE&I) across contingent recruitment”.

Members of the new INfluence Workforce Consortium include:

  • The MOM Project: a digital marketplace dedicated to building a better workplace for women, families and the businesses they support.
  • Primary Talent Partner: a women-owned staffing and executive firm dedicated to helping top companies find quality employees in IT, engineering, corporate professional and life sciences, utilitising programmes designed to support black STEM students into employment.
  • Pyramid Consulting: a minority business enterprise that promotes inclusivity as something to be done intentionally, and supports the next generation of tech talent by uncovering hidden aptitudes in diverse, female and veteran candidates.

A Guidant Global statement said the US initiative is part of the company’s wider INfluence inclusion activity. “Initially launched to enable the firm’s staff to upskill one another and give them the knowledge, tools and confidence to challenge and guide clients and suppliers to follow diversity and inclusion best practice, the scheme has expanded to encompass suppliers globally as well,” the statement said.

Karina Townley, managing director EMEA at Guidant Global, said: “INfluence is driven by our people as part of our commitment to driving diversity and inclusion not just across Guidant, but also its clients and vendor partners.”

She added: “In the UK, the campaign has resulted in a number of internal initiatives which, in the past year, has included a ‘superstar’ programme where our staff provided some much-needed respite to working parents during lockdown and the development of an information package from the INfluence Disability Ambassador group focused on mental health as lockdown began to ease.”

Townley said the company had also worked with Podium, an online jobs platform that helps companies and disabled freelancers find each other, regardless of geography.

Guidant is active in more than 80 companies.
