IPE Ventures acquires umbrella provider i4 Pay Partners

IPE Ventures, the private equity arm of the IPE Group, has acquired i4 Pay Partners, an umbrella payroll services provider for the veterinary, education and public sectors.

An IPE statement said the founders of i4 are staying on to effect a seamless transition to the acquirer’s payroll platform; i4 will continue to build its brand and run independently. Post-acquisition growth capital funding has been committed by IPE to facilitate further growth in i4, the statement said.

i4 joins Payme, a high-growth FCSA umbrella company previously acquired by IPE, to expand the IPE payroll platform.

The buy-side team was led by Adam Fletcher, supported by Optima Corporate Finance (lead advisory), Saffery Champness (financial due diligence) and Fladgate (legal advisory). Sell-side professional advisers were MHA Moore & Smalley (Corporate Finance) and TLT (legal).

IPE Ventures is a Mayfair-based boutique private equity firm providing specialist investment funding to the staffing and payroll sectors.
