Pegasus acquires stake in renewables recruiter Veritas

Leeds-based recruitment agency Pegasus Search & Selection has acquired a 50% stake in Veritas Recruitment Solutions, strengthening the offering of both companies in the renewable energy sector.

Founded in Leeds by managing director Chris Tinson in 2011, Veritas Recruitment Solutions is established in the renewables sector, as well as working in the construction and manufacturing industries. Pegasus Search & Selection is headed up by Paul Micallef and predominantly works across the property and construction sectors.

Following the acquisition, the combined business now employs a 20-strong team based at Rawdon Court, on Leeds Road in Rawdon, which Pegasus expanded into earlier this year.

The company is on target to turnover more than £1.2m this year.

Veritas has now rebranded to Pegasus Zero and is focused on recruiting exclusively for zero-carbon construction companies, renewable energy developers and those businesses driving the UK towards its net-zero targets.

Chris Tinson said: “Pegasus is a highly respected name in construction recruitment and joining forces with them gives us much stronger delivery capabilities, which will benefit clients as we strive to attract the best talent to work on a wide range of leading zero carbon developments and renewable energy projects throughout the UK and beyond.”

Paul Micallef added: “I’ve known Chris for over 15 years, initially employing him, and I’ve watched him establish Veritas as a leading name in the renewables industry. Their business complements and further strengthens our existing work throughout the construction and property sectors, which makes this acquisition an ideal fit for us, our clients, and the renewables sector as a whole. Not only that, in Chris, we further strengthen our management team at a critical time in our growth.”
