A West Midlands gangmaster has been found to have been deceiving the GLA and exploiting workers following a GLA investigation.

Most CVs are not good enough to be taken forward any further, according to a study by career coaching company Personal Career Management.

The study found that 94% of CVs reviewed were not good enough to be carried forward to the next stage of the recruitment process.

The commercial sector is experiencing a glut of quality candidates, according to recruiters.

Leah Clifford, consultant at Top Type Recruitment, told Recruiter: “The quality of the candidates coming through has been better than it has ever been.

“We have never seen anything like it. It is an employer’s market. It is phenomenal in terms of the quality of talent.”

Technical recruiter Networkers International’s pre-tax profits for the year-ending 31 December 2008 increased by 20.3%, to £5.57m (2007: £4.63m).
