Energy suppliers will benefit from a 60 per cent increase in energy management spending by the end of 2002, according to forecasts from Datamonitor. More than a third of industrial and commercial users polled said they plan to use energy management products and that they preferred obtaining energy supply and management from the same source.


MG Rover and Unipart are to reinstate the long-standing relationship that ended when the car maker came under BMW’s control. Unipart will provide parts warehousing and supply aftermarket parts to MG Rover’s dealers until at least June 2004.

Portsmouth City Council has signed up with the Central Buying Consortium (CBC) for local authorities. The CBC allows 17 local authorities to combine their purchasing power to get the best deals for goods such as gas, electricity and IT. The councils control a turnover of £750 million.
