Construction sector builds on job expansion

The rate of expansion of jobs in the UK construction sector increased in December on the previous month, according to the latest Markit/CIPS UK manufacturing employment index.

The rate of expansion of jobs in the UK construction sector increased in December on the previous month, according to the latest Markit/CIPS UK manufacturing employment index. 

The December index posted a reading of 58.3 in December, up from 56.4 in November and was the second highest reading of H2 2015. Any reading over 50 indicates growth.
