Bespoke software development consultancy Scott Logic has appointed Michelle Minnikin as recruitment manager. Based at the firm’s Newcastle headquarters, Minnikin joins from construction company Balfour Beatty, where she was UK resourcing business partner.

Universal Personnel promotes Simfield to managing director

Northampton-based recruiter Universal Personnel has promoted Simon Simfield to managing director from operations director. The firm formed in September 2012 after receiving financial backing from shareholder Recruit Ventures, which helps entrepreneurs set up on their own.

Quy joins Pedersen & Partners’ Dubai team

International executive search firm Pedersen & Partners has appointed Chris Quy as client partner within its Dubai team. Quy joins from international oil & gas recruiter Aldelia where he was recruitment director.

Leyton Orient sign Gagliardi as recruitment head

League Two football club Leyton Orient has appointed Roberto Gagliardi as head of recruitment. According to a club statement, Gagliardi, a former Leyton Orient goalkeeping coach, is returning to the club. He also previously worked as an international scout for Serie A football club AC Chievo Verona.

Hare and Smith join HR GO

High street recruiter HR GO has appointed Cindy Hare and Angela Smith as commercial directors. Hare was previously a sales director with the company, while Smith was managing director with commercial recruiter Office Angels. Hare is based in Bishop Stortford, while Smith is in London. Meanwhile Jo Anne Smith has been appointed as director for the firm’s Kent business while Scott Treacher is director of its driving division.
