The clients, database and network of Boulos Consulting also make the move to the new Pedersen office.Boulos tells Recruiter that with historical low unemployment – currently just over 5% – following several years of particularly fast growth, there is a shortage of experienced managerial level professionals, echoing the comment of Fred Ronflard, managing director of Robert Walters Brazil, in Recruiter’s ‘There’s more than just coffee in Brazil’ article, 30 November 2011.
Boulos adds that this is leading to high salaries and “huge programmes for retaining the staff”.
Boulos founded his executive search firm in 2008, having held senior positions at bank GE Capital Brazil. He also holds a professorship at the Mackenzie University, Brazil, teaching an HR management course.
Galetto had been working with Boulos at Boulos Consulting since March 2009 and was previously managing director at executive search firm Stanton Chase Brazil. Before that Galetto worked in organisational development with lottery operator GTECH and telecoms firm AT&T.
Pedersen now has 49 wholly owned offices in 46 countries.
