Alejandro Rivas, the former general manager of toy maker Mattel in Colombia and then Brazil, is heading the new Bogota, Colombia office of executive search firm TRANSEARCH International, its first in the country.

Alejandro Rivas, the former general manager of toy maker Mattel in Colombia and then Brazil, is heading the new Bogota, Colombia office of executive search firm TRANSEARCH International, its first in the country.
He is joined by Rosa Maria Herrera and Juan Antonio Bustillo as senior client partners in the Bogota office.Rivas has worked in the Colombian subsidiaries of foods manufacturer Nestlé, battery maker Duracell and Mattel, where he set up the Colombian operation of the firm, before becoming the general manager for Brazil.
Herrera has over 30 years’ experience in executive search within Venezuela, Colombia and other countries, while Bustillo has 35 years of experience across Latin America in a variety of board-level assignments.
Alain Tanugi, chairman of TRANSEARCH International, adds: “Colombia has a vibrant economy which is supported by its strong free trade principles and is playing an increasingly important role in the global economy.”
TRANSEARCH now has 57 offices in 39 countries.
