Online payments firm PayPal will unveil plans to create 1,000 jobs in Ireland today, reports the Irish Times.
The eBay subsidiary already has a European HQ in Dublin.Last week, as reported by recruiter.co.uk, rival MasterCard unveiled plans to open a new office and create 130 “highly-skilled jobs” in the Irish capital.
This news came the day after the Irish government unveiled an Action Plan for Jobs aiming to create 100,000 new jobs by 2016, with Colm Buckley, managing director of sales & marketing recruiter People Group, telling Recruiter that he was particularly optimistic around the possibility of new jobs coming in the digital sector, with Google and LinkedIn among companies already having offices in Dublin.
