Over half (59%) of all accountants would consider moving abroad for their next job, shows a survey of 1,200 industry professionals from specialist jobsite CareersinAudit.com.
North America was the favourite destination for those surveyed, followed by the Middle East, Australia and New Zealand, and Western Europe.The study also finds that 37% of accountants plan to exist the profession within the next five years.
It also shows that a fifth are now working between 50 and 70 hours a week, and also finds that 37% check their phone or computer for work purposes at least once a day while on holiday, with a further 21% checking two to four times.
