City professionals are increasingly confident of their job security, according to international executive search consultancy GRS.

In a survey of 5,370 professionals (specialising in risk management, compliance, audit, insurance, tax, and legal) carried out in July and August, the number of people feeling their job security would improve in the following three months increased by 2 percentage points.  This is on top of a 2 percentage point increase in May and June.

Ken Brotherston, chief executive of GRS Group and Kinsey Allen Consulting, adds: “Confidence is spreading through the City as the Square Mile continues on its steady path to recovery.  There’s been a lot of talk about ‘green shoots’ in the economy, but the confidence monitor is one of the few sources able to assess and help forecast market conditions, and show us that City workers feel the worst is behind us.”
