A survey by the HR Business Network of senior human resources professionals around the world has revealed that 14% currently outsource their recruitment, while a further 5% said they had previously but had since brought it back in house.
Seventy members of the network, based as far afield as Hong Kong, the US and Australia as well as in the UK, responded to the 21 April poll on the network website. Of the respondents, 29% said they would outsource their recruitment if it would both save money and guarantee quality candidates. More than a third (38%) said “Nice idea, but we’re not ready for such a big change.”
A final 11% said they would never outsource anything.
Membership of the HR Business Network, run by Project Leaders, is made up of directors, HR directors and other senior HR professionals. A spokesman told Recruiter: “It’s clear from the figures that over 80% either use RPO or would try it if the time was right. But most importantly, they want to be absolutely sure they are getting value for money.”
