The Association of Executive Search Consultants held its annual Summit for its worldwide members’ researchers and associates in London yesterday.

The main topic of discussion was on social media and professional networks and what their impact was on executive research.

The audience of around 60 executive search company delegates, from countries including Canada, France, Germany, Russia, the US and China, heard talks from Penny Power of Ecademy, Wayne Gibbons of Viadeo, Mike Pilcher of LinkedIn, Laura Stoker of AIRS and Brian Slater of The Cluen Corp.

All speakers were excited about the future of the internet and the networking potential, which Pilcher believed “in 20 years would look completely different even from today”.
