Losses fall at Pinnacle Staffing
Pinnacle Staffing Group has announced a loss for the six months ended 5 July 2009.
Losses after tax were £123,000. However this is an improvement on the £6.25m loss made in the same period in 2008. Turnover fell slightly from £19.9m to £19.3m.
In his chairman’s statement, executive chairman Tom Charlton, said the first half of the year had been “a challenging period” as the company had introduced new processes and focused on improving the quality and potential profitability of the individual divisions.
This included the purchase of The Compliance Company, which he said was “the best available system” for monitoring the compliance status of its workers.
Looking to the future, Charlton said: “Our next focus is to develop our client base and forge new relationships with individual NHS Trusts within the new NHS PASA frameworks. Our ambition is to double the size of our nursing division through organic growth over the next three years. This will undoubtedly place strains on the business but we now have a firm base on which to build and look to the future with confidence.”
