Creative recruiter MajorPlayers, has appointed Greg Orme as chief executive officer, with a brief to steer the company through its next stage of development, and to raise the profile of the UK’s creative industries.


Orme becomes chief executive in MajorPlayers’ development

Creative recruiter MajorPlayers, has appointed Greg Orme as chief executive officer, with a brief to steer the company through its next stage of development, and to raise the profile of the UK’s creative industries.

Orme joins MajorPlayers from his position as chief executive at the Centre for Creative Business, a joint venture between the London Business School and the University of the Arts in London, where he advised and helped creative companies to grow and develop.

Jack Gratton, managing director and founder of MajorPlayers, said: “Greg shares my passion for the creative industries and knows, as we do, that the future of the sector depends on the quality of the individuals within it.

“Greg’s experience means that the will not only enable MajorPlayers to reach the next stage of development, but will ensure that our core values remain at the centre of all we do as we grow.”

Mark Berryman has joined RAM Technical as senior consultant in the permanent division.

National recruitment group HR GO has promoted David Simons to managing director of recruitment. HR GO’s national Sales division will also come under his remit. There has been two other senior appointments. In addition to continuing his role as managing director HR GO (Havant), Sean Durrant is business director (South). Andy Hart has taken up the role of business director (North).

The Sellick Partnership has made a number of appointments. Eleanor Pughhas been recruited, from Beresford Blake Thomas, to head up Sellick Partnership’s new Preston office. Mark Caunce has joined the Preston-based financial recruitment team as consultant. Joe Roberts has been appointed as manager of Sellick’s Newcastle office and Rob Campbelljoins the company’s Manchester recruitment team.

Recruitment Development East (RD East) has promotedDebbieBuckto branch manager of its Felixstowe office.

Global HR consultancy, Right Management, has appointed Maurice Duffy as executive vice president of the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.

Stockport-based Cork Griffiths has appointed new practice leaders to head up two new specialist divisions. Mark Summerfield (left) will work on high level positions within the defence industry. Trudy Nazer (right) will be responsible for establishing the company’s print and packaging recruitment division.

 

The Contact Recruitment Group has promoted a number of staff. Helen Thorne and Simon Chakrabarti have been promoted to associate director at Contact’s London office. Vivek Mahajan has been promoted to manager of the IT team, while Lizelle van Zyl has been promoted to senior consultant within the banking operations team. At Contact’s Dublin office, Tracey McGrane has been promoted from senior consultant to director and Joyce Bass to account manager.

Leandri Perry has joined the Windsor office of national accountancy recruiter Andrew Farr Associates. Perry will be responsible for recruiting qualified interim accountants across the South-East.

Susan Hamilton has joined Juice Recruitment’s Bristol team, with responsibility for recruiting accountancy personnel in Bristol and Bath. Hamilton previously worked for Reed Accountancy in Bristol.

 

The Synergy Group has taken on a number of new starter consultants: Liz Liddiard, social care London; Ian Ambrose, environmental health Leeds; and Vanessa Adams, commercial London. Mairead Dillonjoins as recruitment co-ordinator in Leeds. David Pyle has been taken on as communications manager.

John McDonough has joined Hays Executive as an associate director, to lead its local government practice. McDonough joins Hays from Tribal.

Executive search firm Odgers Ray & Berndtson has appointed Helena Feltham as a senior consultant within its retail practice.

Life science interim recruiter PiR Interims has appointed Anita McCallum as director of business development. Julie Uttridge joins as client services manager. Sally Hope has been promoted to client services manager, while Nicola Armitage has been promoted to interims operations manager.

Stark Brooks Associates has promoted Sven Hangerto business manager at its Leeds office. Martin Halls joins the Leeds office as a researcher.

Global search firm CTParners has appointed Hugh Pye as a partner in its financial services practice, where he will specialise in retail and commercial banking for senior level and boardroom positions. Pye was previously a senior client partner with Korn/Ferry International.

Chelmsford-based S J Partridge has appointed Karen Endser and Neil Cooper to its legal recruitment team. Anne Marie Jones heads up its commercial division.

Interim management recruiter, Interim Partners, has appointed Mark Kirkbride as senior consultant for technology.


Jark Industrial has appointed Mike Busby as manager in its Southend office.

Halstead-based recruitment consultant Bridge Personnel has appointed Louise Tierney as partner.
