Scott wins HR race for Glasgow 2014 Games

The Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games has appointed Jan Scott as head of human resources, leading its recruitment and employee relations strategy.

The Games will make a total of 1,044 full-time hires leading up to the Games, including technical sports positions, event management and corporate posts, and is working in partnership with multi-sector recruiter Search Consultancy.

Scott began her career with engineering solutions firm Weir Group and has worked across the public private and charitable sectors, recently holding HR directorships at Motorola Ireland, pharmaceuticals firm Aptuit and ex-forces charity Erskine.

Scott said: “I look forward to playing my part in delivering an experienced and capable workforce that will make Glasgow 2014 an outstanding Games.”
