Tiger Recruitment has launched a free iPhone app which gives access to news and social networks, and allows secretarial and PA candidates to access posted jobs and employers to express interest in hiring.

A press release from the recruiter emphasises the cost-saving benefits of the technology, and says that globally in the last three years, 10.9bn downloads of mobile phone apps have occurred.

A version for Android is due to be released around the end of the month.
