Recruitment apprenticeships launch aims for 2013
New recruitment industry apprenticeships could be ready by February, Skills CFA, the skills and training charity driving the project, tells Recruiter.
It announced that the UK Commission for Employment and Skills, a non-departmental public body committed to promoting employer investment in people, had approved its bid last week, following a September announcement by Skills CFA of the plans.
While it will still need to be approved by regulator Ofqual, a spokesperson for Skills CFA says: “We hope that the apprenticeships will be approved by the end of February.”
A Skills CFA blog post states: “A broad range of stakeholders and recruitment employers have expressed their support for the development of the recruitment apprenticeships. They will all be actively engaged in the development process to make sure the apprenticeships meet the needs of employers.”
The Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC) will be involved in the development as one of Skills CFA’s nine partners, as will the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD), also a partner organisation, with the Institute of Recruiters (IOR) also committed to involvement.
