Eurostaff Technology, the IT staffing brand of recruitment group Staffgroup, has opened a new office in Berlin.
Mon, 18 Feb 2013Eurostaff Technology, the IT staffing brand of recruitment group Staffgroup, has opened a new office in Berlin.
Berlin’s ‘Silicon Allee’ is being touted as a rival to London’s Silicon Roundabout as Europe’s number one tech hub, while earlier this year Eurostaff said it was expecting increased demand for computer professionals and engineers from the German automotive market. Eurostaff opened a Dusseldorf office in May of last year.
And according to the German federal association for IT, telecommunications and new media, the IT sector in the country is worth around €151bn (£130bn).
The office is led by newly-hired country manager Saman Tabrizi, supported by a team of three consultants.
Tabrizi, who was recruited by Staffgroup from IT staffing giants SThree, says: “The main challenge in the German market is not the recruitment process itself, but getting the right people on board. For every 10 open positions, we are seeing only three or four matching candidates, and this situation is only going to get more challenging in the future as more companies undertake large IT projects. We believe that being based in Berlin will really enable us to help clients with these challenges, as well as providing exciting opportunities to IT professionals.”
