Thu, 28 Feb 2013A broader range of graduates are sending their Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) scores to different types of postgraduate management education programmes across the world, according to a report from the tests’ creator, the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC).
Testing volumes rose in all regions of the world. As part of the survey of 287,000 tests administered in the year to 30 June 2012, the US remains the top study destination, receiving 75% of the tests sent out. This figure has dropped from 81% in 2008. Europe was the second most popular destination.
Further diversification is noted as non-MBA programmes accounted for 29% of test scores, up from 17% five years ago, while the number of women taking the test grew to 42.9% of overall submissions, rising in six out of 10 regions including Western Europe. However, the figure dropped in the US.
The full report, as well as separate reports for the Asian, European and North American regions, are available online.
