Jobs Watch: Tata hiring for secure jobs in Liverpool, 100 roles at Pleasureland Southport

IT services and business solutions provider Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is to expand its UK operations in a new office in Liverpool, while 30km North in Stockport, a revamped fairground should create 100 jobs.

Pleasureland Southport
Following an abandoned £80m expansion plan from regeneration specialists Urban Splash last year, the Pleasureland fairground will see investment from new owner Dreamstorm for the new season.
This is according to local paper the Southport Visiter, which says the attraction will start recruiting in March to create up to 100 jobs.
While the park has been closed work has been ongoing to deliver a number of big new rides at the 104-year-old site.
TCS
Having won a multi-million, multi-year technology and supports services contract with the Home Office last November, the firm will house over 300 employees in a new Liverpool facility in July.
The centre is dedicated to delivering government services with Impact Level 3 (IL3) security constraints, with the Home Office contract specifically service the newly-formed Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
Shankar Narayanan, country head for UK & Ireland at TCS, says: “Our investment in a new state-of-the-art, secure delivery centre in Liverpool will allow us to effectively meet the business objectives of DBS to modernise and transform its business while supporting our longer-term strategy for increased participation in transformation programmes for the UK public sector.”
