Jobs Watch: Cambridge Consultants, Seda UK
One firm in South Wales and another in the East of England are to create new jobs.
Cambridge Consultants
Product development firm Cambridge Consultants is to hire 50 people in 2013.
And the firm also says it will double its 380-strong UK and US workforce over the next four years, as well as opening an office in Singapore this year.
The firm’s chief executive officer Alan Richardson says it created 35 new jobs last year.
Most of the new jobs will be in the UK, and include positions in business development, and project and commercial management, as well as jobs for software and mechanical engineers, computer scientists, mathematicians and physicists.
New roles at the company’s US office in Cambridge, Massachusetts, are focused on the development of medical technology – in particular drug delivery, surgical and diagnostic devices.

The packaging firm will safeguard more than 170 existing posts and add 70 new jobs as part of an £18m investment in its Blackwood, Caerphilly plant in Wales.
This is according to the South Wales Argus, which notes £5.4m of funding for the five-year project is being provided through the Welsh government.
