Disqualification for boss of payroll firm Quantum
The director of now-liquidated payroll company Quantum Solutions (Kent) has been banned from acting as a company director for six years after failing to keep proper accounts.
Adrian Antonie Parson’s ban comes into effect next Wednesday, 24 April, and follows an investigation by The Insolvency Service.
According to the Insolvency Service, the company went into voluntary liquidation in September 2011. Between 24 November 2010 and 29 September 2011, payments totalling almost £1m were made from the company’s bank account, of which £45.5k was withdrawn in cash.
There were no proper accounts for the Insolvency Service to verify whether these were for genuine company expenditure, and there was a substantial lack of other documents.
Parson was a director of Quantum from 2008 until its dissolution in January this year. Three other directorships listed for Parson on Companies House are roles with construction, design and engineering firms.
The company’s official address was Grays, Essex, rather than Kent as suggested by the name.
Other cases seen this year have resulted in the disqualification of the director of two City of London recruitment agencies, and another who provided field staff for merchandising.
