The NHS Graduate Schemes have been voted the UK’s most popular graduate employment option in a survey of over 23,000 students from 100 UK universities.
The survey is created by GTI Media for newspaper The Guardian’s 2013 list of the UK’s 300 top graduate employers, and will be published in full in September, with 100,000 copies to be distributed to UK universities, including one for every participant. The top 12 is as follows:
TARGETjobs UK information & research director Chris Phillips says: “It’s worth noting that, despite well-publicised cuts, the desire of students to start their careers in the public sector remains as strong as ever, with the Civil Service Fast Stream also moving up the rankings to claim a top 10 spot.
“In addition, all the big four accounting firms improved their positions this year, which may be down to their perceived status as ‘safe’ employers in addition to the sheer volume of places they have to offer.”
