Sky hiring drive in UK for broadband support
These will be located across the UK, with 350 coming in its existing customer contact centre in Newcastle from August onwards.
These 350 jobs comes as a result of the need to support new customers joining Sky following its acquisition of the consumer broadband and fixed-line businesses of telecoms firm O2, and O2 business unit BE.
A further 200 new hires will be based in Sky’s in-house sales team based either at a store in shopping centres through the UK or from one of Sky’s new sales vehicles. Key locations for these roles include the North-East of England, Yorkshire, the Midlands and the South Coast.
According to the company, all Sky employees “receive free Sky+HD, Broadband and Talk, as well as excellent personal development opportunities”.
